So what is RPC?
RPC (Recreational Pilot Certificate) recognised as the new legislation and equivalent to a Recreational Pilot License with minor differences. It is the most cost-effective and efficient route to learn how to fly in a Light-Sport Aircraft. The good news is that the hours in a Light-Sport Aircraft counts towards an RPL, PPL and CPL. The RPC allows you to fly within a 25 nautical mile radius from your departing airport with a maximum take-off weight of 600kg and take up to 1 passenger. It generally takes less time to complete the RPC and can serve as a stepping stone should you decide to move on to being an airline pilot. The validity of RPC is good for the next two years.
Why choose RPC?
The RPC should be your ideal starting point in your career in aviation or for leisure. Ideally, you should invest time, money and energy into the process of learning to fly and RPC provides that. Should you want to progress to be an airline pilot in Singapore, be prepared to undergo the rigorous training program. Therefore, it is advisable to equip yourself with rudimentary flying knowledge and hands on experience, to assist you in any aviation training.
